Horses and Fun pics
CHARLEY is a 13 year old Morgan gelding. He was Karin’s first horse and has brought much joy to vaulters, special needs kids and adults as well as riding students. He enjoys long trail rides and his favorite treat are apples.

CASPIAN, the tallest horse at the barn, is a Percheron- Thoroughbred gelding. Karin got Caspian as a green horse at age 5. In the 4 years since then, he has been used as a canter vaulting horse for A Vaulting Connection. Some of his achievements were carrying vaulters at the National Vaulting Championships in Kentucky in 2009, being High Point winner in a local Glass-ed Dressage Show in 2010, and just recently carrying members of the Grandville High School Equestrian Team during the Opening Ceremony / National Anthem.
VINNIE is a carefree Thoroughbred gelding that enjoys carrying kids and adults for vaulting and riding lessons as well as shows. His nickname is Skinny Vinnie. His unique facial expressions and eager whinnying are very funny!

PEANUT is a Miniature Horse who adores little kids. His expertise includes pulling a cart and standing patiently while kids or timid riders of all ages groom him. This summer he was shown at the Ottawa County Fair and charmed everyone with his cute looks and sweet personality.

RAMI is a bay Arabian gelding that is used as a lesson horse. He has a carefree personality and loves kids and adults. His comfortable gaits help our students achieve harmony as well as gain self confidence in their riding abilities. Rami was shown by a 12-year-old girl from our 4-H club Blaze With Grace this Summer, and they did awesome together.

MAREE, a chestnut Quarter Horse, is the newest addition to Karin’s Horse Connection and has already won over many hearts. Young and old as well as special needs kids know they can rely on Maree to give them the most beneficial riding experience in a very safe way. Maree was also shown this past summer at Ottawa County Fair and on Grandville’s High School Equestrian Team.

ROMEO serves as a lesson pony at Karin’s Horse Connection. Although he is smaller than most, he is fearless, making him an awesome ride on the trails. He has a great personality and will always put a smile on your face.

AVENIR is a Percheron-Paint gelding that loves people. He is mainly used as a vaulting horse because of his great personality, smooth gates and size. He is in training to carry a canter vaulting team. Above all else, he enjoys cuddling and rolling around in the mud.

SNOOPY is a black and white pony that loves kids! He is often used for the Runtrider Program and is especially talented when it comes to horse soccer. He enjoys being brushed and receiving lots of treats from the kids that ride him.

GOLDIE is a palomino Quarter Horse mare who is used for lessons, vaulting and special needs riders. Her owner Leoni, also shows Goldie in 4-H and in the high school equestrian team. Goldie’s favorite thing to do is run barrel races, and graze in the big pastures all day long. We are expecting a foal out of her in Spring 2012 and are very excited about it!

KRYSTAL is a Percheron- Thoroughbred. She is a well trained dressage horse with nice gaits. She is a great arena horse and is also often used for seat lessons on the lunge line and vaulting. Her gentle nature gives students confidence as they enjoy their ride.

RAMBO is a pony with quite unique features. Even though he is blind in one eye, he carries his riders with confidence and ease. He is a great lesson pony who will teach you how to ride in the most fun way. Rambo has been shown at the Kent County Fair in 2009 and did awesome!

DANNY, the 23 year old palomino gelding serves as a perfect lesson horse for adults and kids. His gentle personality puts riders in a comfortable atmosphere, allowing them to learn at their full potential. Danny was shown at the Ottawa County Fair this summer where both him and his rider had a blast!
